Very few of the avatars you see in the comics are actually in the places you see them. I didn't have a nude avatar leaping around the Waterhead Welcome Area for this. Actor avatars are generally shot against a screen and composited against the backgrounds afterwards.
Yes, that's me in the background on the third panel, actually taking the background shots. Why composite actors against backgrounds? It's a whole lot faster, and you don't need as many accounts.
